An idyllic day of snowshoeing on Grampy's land with Joey Strade turns out to be less than idyllic for teenage super-sleuth Ingrid Levin-Hill when she stumbles upon a body in the snow. The discovery sends the town of Echo Falls into a tailspin, and Grampy is sent to jail.
Ingrid knows her grandfather is innocent, but she'll have to dig deep into the past to clear his name. And as she learns the truth, she also learns that the past can be a very dark place indeed...
