On the afternoon of May 17th, 1974, Ed O'Neill was playing, just like any other four-year old boy in the city of Dublin. Later, as he was walking on Parnell Street with his brother and father, Edward O'Neill Sr., a major explosion went off killing his father instantly. The two young boys were very seriously injured. Thirty-two others were killed that day, in what became known simply as The Dublin and Monaghan Bombings, the greatest loss of life in any one day of The Troubles. Two Little Boys sketches the political situation at the time of the bombings in Ireland, Britain, and the North. A pen picture of Eddie O'Neill is offered through interviews with family and friends, and how the O'Neills struggled to cope with the loss of their father. The trials of the O'Neill's campaign to seek justice for their father is outlined over the thirty years since the car bombing, including the many trials and tribulations they endured.
